I received a phone call from a friend that I’ve known for 2 ½ years… and we meet for the first time on Sunday… 10/10/10… who would of guest… she called me for a favor… she asked me if I could edit and combine her Arab Project video for her using movie maker…
Movie maker? For real? That’s the easiest software to use… that was what I thought… So I take up the offer… she said that she was willing to pay… “Girl, I can’t take your money…” I took the assignment because I thought it would be fun to use movie maker again…
But Oh God…
You can’t just use movie maker to finish your project darl… you need more then that…
The video format is not compatible with movie maker which uses .wmv format… I have to convert all 38 clips to the proper format and edit each and every clip so that it would go perfectly together…
Frankly speaking, when I first saw the clips… I wanted to reject the offer straight away… but you were depending on me… that’s the problem… I can’t let anyone down… so I take it as a challenge…
It was not easy… I got a bit frustrated at first… because its been a while since I left the “GEEK” world… I have to remember everything… all the tricks… the short cuts… even that I don’t have all my tools… I manage to do it… When the first scene was completed… I lay back and smile… I still got the touch… just need to polish it more and more… I manage to finish the 1st scene and converted and edit the clips for scene 2 and 3… so tonight… I finish up the last scene… and hopefully… by tonight.. I finish up the whole movie…
